At Dosti Realty we believe that Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a vowed duty of every organization and we try our best to create a better society by generating activities that involve the environment as well as our consumers, employees, communities, stakeholders and other members of the public sphere. We believe that generating profit should not be the organisation's only motive and that giving back to society is far more important. We are therefore fulfilling our commitment and setting an example by practice, in the real world. Dosti Realty's social welfare and philanthropic activities are carried out by The Dosti Foundation.
From 2013-2016, Dosti Realty tied up with the Mumbai Mobile Creche who not only took care of the labourer's children during the time they are working but also facilitated learning lessons besides providing care facilities to ensure that these children have a safe, happy and healthy childhood. They also organised camps and activities for children to engage in every month, over and above the regular activities.
In 2017 Mumbai Mobile Creches created a CORP program for our Balkum site to cater to the children who reside in the labour camp. The team runs a daycare center along with tuition classes for school going children and also various initiatives like health camp, art, and craft classes, School enrolment, a creation of PAN and Aadhar card, Bank act etc. The whole objective is to reach out to the children and the community as much as possible and link them to services. This new initiative has enhanced a positive environment and attitude within the labours.
Our program coordinator and mobilizers identify a village or wadi which needs skill training. Interested students are called to a village meeting where they are educated as to why skill development is required. A need-based survey is then conducted to assess the interest and likeness to learn a particular skill. Individuals are educated in detail about the type of programs that can be conducted their village, the government schemes they are eligible for as well as what help and facility will be provided by the gram panchayat. Post this, students are registered for programs at nominal charges. The gram panchayat representative is encouraged to be a part of the meeting so that they take ownership and support them enthusiastically.

Being from the construction industry, we wanted to create a platform to train and place individuals within our own industry. We also realised that this sort of training would also be useful to those currently working at our sites and enhance their skills. With this in mind, skill training programs for electrician lineman, masonry, carpentry, painting, waterproofing, plumbing and waterproofing were created. Most of these programs are conducted by NSDC training partners. This will not only be beneficial to the individual but also improve quality of work within the industry. These 3 month full and part-time workshops will also have placement assistance at the end. The first workshop was Painting & Water Proofing where we collaborated with Asian Paints to conduct a 2 days painting session at our own for 58 painters. The program involved practical training and an evaluation at the end. Participants received certificates from Asian Paints and NSDC upon successful completion and were given reference booklets for future. We also conducted
training in aluminium form shuttering.

On Sunday 12th Jun 2016, real estate developers with sites in Thane joined hands to participate in ‘The Thane Moonsoon Relay’. Created to express their gratitude for all the hard work put in by the labours and to bring a fun element to the lives of the children who often also live at these sites, this event truly depicted the harsher yet softer side to real estate. The brainchild of this event was Ms. Shraddha Goradia, who was moved by the happy spirit of the children who she interacted with at one of the Dosti sites. The event which saw a footfall of around 300 children had activities for all age groups to participate from Puppet Shows to Musical Performances, Merry-go-Rounds to Game stalls, Air castles and much more.
